We are in the process of cleaning up the Stager code base to optimize Stager and increase our developer happiness :) Of course we also worked on increasing your happiness by releasing a new feature, improving existing features and flows and fixing a nice list of little bugs.
New features
Email domain verification
You are now able to authenticate your email domain in the backstage. By doing so, you give Stager permission to send mails on your behalf. This way, you can keep sending emails via Stager displaying your own email address so your recipients will immediately know that the mail is coming from you. The receiving mailboxes will trust your turbo cool emails which highly increases the deliverability of emails sent via Stager. Even if an active security policy (also known as DMARC policy) has been set up. This means fewer mails in the SPAM :)
Ticketing regular = Ticketing Deluxe = Ticketing
Did you have a Ticketing Regular plan? You just got many more features for free! We've upgraded you to a Ticketing Deluxe plan and renamed it Ticketing.
There are many new features for you to use like reservations, importing and exporting contacts and memberships.
Improvements
Decide in which order you want to show events in your ticket shop. Are events on the same date with the same start time? No problem, Stager checks the following times and sorts according to this order:
1. program start time
2. doors open time
3. production start timeWe cleaned up the Plan page (Settings > Account > Billing > Plan) and added a clear feature overview to our website where you can easily compare Stager plans.
Online marketing improvements
It's always been hard to track conversion when using an embedded ticket shop because the source is lost. This marks most traffic as 'direct' instead of showing where the ticket buyer actually came from (for example Google Ads). We've written a script that circumvents this issue. Here you can find the script and the manual to implement it.
We've added a separate 'thank you' url for the ticket download page for better measuring conversion with e-commerce.
We've made preset JSON containers for you to easily get started with Google Tag Manager.
We improved the 'Online marketing' section of our Help center to guide you step by step through setting up online marketing for your organization.
Ticket tab improvements
First set the total amount of tickets for the event before you can continue
You can not click on 'edit details' anymore before saving the ticket type
Added a wrong ticket type? Remove the ticket type from the event on the ticket detail screen
Regular tickets are always shown unfolded so it's visible how you can add ticket types to your event
Bug fixes
Safari users can edit guest lists again
Lots of events with the same name? Search bars now displays up to 120 events with the same name
Personal messages added to personnel shift notifications are visible in mails again
Tickets reserved by ticket buyers who didn't yet register, fall free again after 15 minutes. Same goes for guest tickets and (free) membership tickets
Online and door sales end time of ticket sales are copied to other events in series, if you choose so
For (minimal) embedded ticket shops, the pre-payment checkbox is required again
Default value of 1 for Max tickets is removed when creating membership tickets
Deleting a default shift in Personnel tab will delete the shift :)
When you schedule someone for a shift that was set to 'availability', it will now set itself to 'none' so that shift can not be taken by other personnel anymore
When selling group tickets at the door, the available number of tickets adjust correspondingly in the Door sales screen
When creating a new event in series, the spaces are saved again
Overview of open rate for sent mailings was broken for a short time, it works again
The membership login link only worked for one ticket shop, not for custom created ticket shops. Now it works for all ticket shops.
