Feature Requests

How to suggest new features or improvements.

People who work with Stager often have great ideas on how to improve the software. We love hearing your suggestions.

To collect and prioritize all requests, we use an Idea Board on Frill. You can submit your own ideas here and vote on suggestions from others.

Please write your request in English and clearly describe the problem and your reasoning. This way, users who don’t speak your language can also understand and support your idea.

How to log in to the Idea Board

There are two ways to access the Idea Board:

Option 1: Through the menu

Log into the Stager Backstage. At the very bottom of the menu, you will find the Feedback button. Click it to open the Idea Board directly.

Option 2: Chat

Open the chat in the bottom right corner of the Stager Backstage. Start a conversation and let us know you have a good idea. We will redirect you to a new tab where you can submit your suggestion.

If you are already logged into Stager, you can also use this direct link (you will be logged in automatically):

How ideas move through our pipeline

We want you to know exactly what happens with your suggestion. Every new idea lands in our Frill inbox first, where our product team reviews it:

  • Duplicate ideas are merged with existing requests.

  • Ideas outside our product scope are marked "Unlikely to build," along with an explanation.

  • Ideas that are not feasible are archived with a comment.

  • Promising ideas are moved to "Waiting for votes" on the public roadmap.

  • Once an idea in "Waiting for votes" gets more than 5 votes, it moves to "Under consideration." Here, our team evaluates the idea using a set framework.

After that, your idea lands in one of the following stages:

  • Postponed: A good idea, but not a current priority.

  • Planned: Confirmed and queued up for development.

  • Working on it: We are actively building this.

  • Shipped: Live and ready to use.

  • Unlikely to build: The idea doesn't fit our strategy, or the effort outweighs the impact. You will always see a note explaining why.

How we prioritize: The VRICE method

We don't decide what to build based on which idea is the newest or who shouts the loudest. To prioritize objectively, we score each idea on five factors:

  • Votes: How many customers voted for the idea? (This is tracked automatically in Frill).

  • Reach: How many of our customers will actually notice or use this change?

  • Impact: How much value does it add? Is it a small extra or a major improvement?

  • Confidence: How sure are we about the expected reach and impact, based on data and feedback?

  • Effort: How much work does it take to build? This can vary from a few days to several months.

We weigh the benefits (votes, reach, impact, and confidence) against the time it takes to build it (effort). This is why some popular ideas might take a bit longer if they require a lot of development time.

Stay updated

New and popular ideas are discussed internally every two weeks, so nothing goes unnoticed. Twice a year, we define a broader roadmap for the next six months. For this, we look at customer requests, technical priorities, and our own strategic goals.

Want to know what we are working on right now and see the latest updates? Check out Roadmap and Announcements on the Idea Board. Good to know: if you vote on an idea, you will automatically get an update when we pick it up or launch it.
