There are several methods to integrate a Stager shop with your own website. What method is right for you depends on your website, and the technical know-how of the person setting up the integration. This article provides a high level overview of all methods, so you can make an informed decision.
Link-based integration
The most easy method is to simply put links on your website to the shop on the your-venue.stager.co subdomain. This we call the link-based integration method. This is a commonly-used and basic, easy-to-implement way to link your website to the Stager shop.
Integrations inside your own website
We also provide integration methods that allow the Stager shop to be accessed inside your website. This way users do not leave your website when purchasing tickets.
Besides an improved user experience, these integrations - called widget integrations - also allow for better utilisation of online marketing tools. Tracking on your own website becomes more effective, which means more accurate data for your advertising.
NOTE
A widget integration requires some technical knowledge, or additional help from web developers to implement. If you want to embed a widget in your website, but have little technical knowledge yourself, we recommend you consult with a skilled web developer to best integrate the widget without any issues.
A widget can be integrated in two ways:
A basic full-screen widget
A basic embedded widget
An advanced widget
Basic full-screen widget integration
Using this integration, the Stager shop looks exactly like it does on the venue-name.stager.co subdomain, but is hosted on your own domain (e.g. venue.com/tickets in the image below).
Using this method, ticket-buyers stay on your domain for the whole ticket buying process which makes measuring online marketing data more accurate.
Basic embedded widget integration
When using this integration, the Stager shop takes up a small amount of space within your webpage. This widget is surrounded your webpage's regular content (like headings, menus and footers). Within the widget, the Stager shop looks like it does on a mobile device.
You can configure this widget so it shows the list of all events, or just a particular event. This integration method comes with the same advantages as the Basic full-screen integration, it just looks different.
Advanced widget integration
This integration method is useful when you have one page per event on your website. Most organizers using Stager make use of our feed to automatically fill these pages based on the event information in Stager.
The advanced integration uses of a combination of different widgets and API endpoints to achieve a seamless shopping experience inside your website.
As the name implies, this is the most advanced of all our widget integrations.
