There are several methods to integrate a Stager shop with your own website. The different types or integrations have different requirements on the website they are integrated with and on the technical know-how of the person setting up the integration.
This article guides you through the most straight forward method: simply linking to the Stager shop on the your-venue.stager.co domain from your own website.
Link to the shop's even overview
Create one 'Buy tickets' button on your own website. Link this button to a Stager ticket shop's event overview. Visitors that click the link see all your future published events on the your-venue.stager.co subdomain. From there they can browse the events and buy the tickets want.
A shop's event overview link is found in the settings. Go to Settings -> Ticketing -> Ticket shops. Or simply copy the link from your browser's location bar when you are on the event overview. Here you'll see an overview of the ticket shops and a link for each shop.
While you could also the legacy shop, this is not advised as the legacy shop will be phased out. Thus we recommend everyone to use the links under New shop path.
The link looks like this: https://<subdomain>.stager.co/shop/<name of the shop>
where <subdomain>
is replaced by an actual subdomain of your organization and <name of the shop>
by the name of the shop.
This is the simplest way of integrating Stager into your website: by just placing a shop link. Your ticket buyers are then directed from your website to your Stager ticket shop to purchase tickets.
If you want to open the shop in a new tab you should look into the target property of an HTML link.
Link to a specific event in the shop
Instead of just one ticket button linking to a full ticket shop, you add a specific link to each event. Every event has its own button that links to only that event in a Stager shop. This gives your visitor a better user experience and it allows you to measure more online marketing data. You can automate adding these links with the Stager feed (more on that in the next section).
The single event link is found on 'Tickets' tab of each event. Click on the yellow 'Get ticket links' button in the top right corner to copy the single event link.
Using the Stager feed to automate your integration
Instead of manually adding these links, you can automate publishing ticket links (and much more) to your website using the Stager feed. This feed sends updates with event info, publicity info and ticket info. So you website can basically subscribe to receive the date/time/locations, description of the artist with video links and images, and the price/fee/name/number of tickets!
The feed allows to automatically create pages on your website for each event "published" to it from the Stager backstage.
Other integration options
For an even better user experience and better integration options with online marketing tools, you may want to use our “widget” integrations. These allow you to integrate the Stager shop inside your own website!
