Holy Cannoli... A new Mailing system

Woohah! We had a lot of fun building this new feature in Stager, a customizable mailing service that gives you all needed insights in the success of your campaigns. Of course with GIF support!

TL;DR ("Too long; didn't read.")

  • Customize the email template with your own logo, font, colors;

  • Send direct mailings with event info, ticket links, free guest tickets or free text;

  • Check opens, clicks, conversion rates and the amount of money you have earned!

  • Customer Interests added to the Event – Publicity tab, to tag your events and automatically update customer profiles.

Customize your emails

Head over to the Admin – Email Settings section, and there you will find a new menu item called Email themes. Here you will find a deliciously interactive piece of software that let’s you customize the look and feel of your mails.

Select the fonts you want to use, upload your logo and pick colors for the different style elements we offer with the mailing system.

The first person who reports the Easter egg wins a prize!

Direct mailing service

We have developed a drag and drop email composer that let’s you create mailings in a split of a second. The mailing service is especially suitable for service mails before or after the event, press releases, invitations with tickets included and direct marketing mails. But you can also consider using the new mailing system for your recurring newsletters.

Do a query on your relations database and hit “Send an email with Stager”. You are then welcomed to the Email composer where you can drag components into a real time preview, customize your message and send or schedule your email.

Mailing insights

After sending your email you can see the statistics on a newly created Email activity page. Stager does not only show who were the recipients, but we also track opens, clicks and the conversion rate. But the most awesome feature of all is of course “Revenue tracking”.

If you send an email with Stager including event info of a certain event, and a recipient of that mail buys a ticket for that event, we can show the revenue of your mailing. No more copying of UTM codes into your mails, setting up cross domain tracking in Stager, and tying it all together in Google analytics. Stager does it for you!

Customer Interests

Through the Customer Interests you can link your audiences to your events in Stager. If you tag your event in the Publicity tab with a certain Customer Interest and somebody buys a ticket for this event, the personal profile of that person will be automatically updated. Now you can send super targeted direct mailings based on buyer behavior.

New features

There was quite an extensive list of features and improvements, but to keep it sort of readable and understandable we made this very long synopsis for you ;)

  • Color configuration of different elements (buttons, text, background colors) in the Email themer.

  • Font selection for headers and body text in the Email themer.

  • Logo upload added to the Email themer so you can brand your mailings.

  • Real time preview of your styling efforts.

  • Drag and drop email composer that let’s you create mailings using the predefined components with rich text formatting options.

  • The following components can be added: Free text, Image/Text component that can be linked to events and news items, a component to send guest tickets, an intro block and a footer. 

  • Sending test emails to check how the message looks (and feels).

  • Scheduling the mails to be sent out on a later time.

  • Semi automated revenue tracking where Stager tracks if recipients buy tickets.

  • Overview of scheduled mailings and a list of sent mails.

  • You can check to whom emails were being sent to.

  • Percentage of emails that were opened, percentage of emails containing links that were clicked and the conversion rate.

  • Amount of tickets bought by recipients and total revenue of a mailing that was sent out by checking if a recipient has bought tickets for an event that was included in the mailing. 

  • Overview of all mailings sent is shown for each relation – see the new Mailings tab.

  • To prevent you from spamming your visitors too much we have introduced the Search criterium “Number of days since last mailing”.

Improvements

  • We filter out selected relations that do not have an email address

  • You can configure the email sender, so you can make it a personal mail

  • Events can now be tagged with Customer interests (aka Genres) in the Publicity tab. This used to be possible on a deeper level, namely per Act. 

  • Email image upload for News items and event Publicity, where you can upload an image to be used in mailings.

Bug fixes

  • We had introduced a small bug in the Guest list system, where you could not always select the correct ticket type.

  • And there was an issue with permissions to check in guests. You needed more permissions than “Guest list – Check in guests” to check in guests…

  • The “Help” button was covering the “Save” button if you had long Task lists… Not very smart.
