Exporting Tickets or Barcodes

How to export tickets or barcodes (for Appic).

Sometimes you need to export tickets, so you can use or upload the PDFs or barcodes in an external system. For example when you want to offer or sell tickets through Appic.

How to export tickets

We recommend to create a separate ticket type, so you can track how many of these tickets you've exported(/"sold") and how many have been scanned at the event. You can read more about how to do that here: Ticket Types & Fees. Make sure you set the service fee to 0 when you do this.

When you've added the ticket type to your event, make sure that the price is 0 and that only 'Door sales' is enabled.

Don't enable 'Online sales'. If you also enable 'Online sales', these tickets will appear in the shop and can be bought by anyone.

Then you follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Ticketing - Door sales.

  2. Make sure that the info below the event(s) is as following:
    - 'Not scanning tickets on sale.'. Otherwise the tickets are immediately "scanned", making them invalid at the door.
    - If you want to get the PDFs, set the setting to "Printing PDF tickets.". If you just need the barcodes, you can set this to "Do not print.".
    - You can change these settings with the 'Change' button.

  3. Then select the event you want to export tickets for.

  4. Select the ticket type you want to export.

  5. Select the amount of tickets you want to export.

  6. Click the button 'Complete order'.

  7. If you've selected to print PDF tickets, you'll get a pop-up with the A4 tickets. You can then save them as PDF.

If you need the barcodes:

  1. Navigate to Ticketing - Orders.

  2. Find the order with your tickets. It's ordered by completion date/time, so it's probably the top order. Otherwise it's easy to find, because it'll probably be the only one without a Contact attached to it.

  3. The codes in the 'Ticket code' column are the ones that can be flipped into barcodes.

  4. Copy-paste the columns into an Excel file and send this to Appic.
