How to set the personal information you request of a ticket buyer.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

During the checkout process a ticket buyer gets asked for their first name, last name and email address by default, but you can request more personal information from your ticket buyers.

Registration

You can enable the additional registration fields in Settings - Ticketing - Registration. Data about gender, city and age is used to generate marketing insights in the ticket sales graphs. The less information you ask for, the easier/shorter the checkout process is for your ticket buyers.

You can set each registration field to:

  • Hidden: so that the registration field will not be displayed.

  • Optional: so that the ticket buyer can decide themselves to fill it in or not.

  • Required: so that the registration field is mandatory.

The additional registration fields are:

  • Organization

  • Job title

  • Address

  • Postal code

  • City

  • Country

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Phone number

Scripted sign-up protection

You can add an additional protection layer to the registration/checkout process by enabling reCAPTCHA. This is a system that checks if the registration was done by a person or a robot/automated script. It's disabled by default and we also don't recommend to enable this, unless you're experiencing many fake registrations.
