What can you do?
Spotify and Stager’s integration allows you to link program items directly to Spotify artist pages. The Spotify artist link is added to the links section on the publicity tab and is pushed to the feed. Additionally, you can publish ticket links for your events directly on the Spotify artist’s event page, making it easier to engage listeners and drive ticket sales.
This integration includes:
Linking Spotify artist pages to your program items and pushing the links to your feed.
Publishing your ticket link on Spotify artist pages, allowing listeners to discover your event in the On Tour section and purchase tickets directly.
Spotify still needs to complete the integration on their end. To do this, they require events to be published to the Spotify channel. So start publishing today! Ticket links will become visible on Spotify artist pages in March.
How to publish the Spotify artist link to your feed?
First make Spotify visible in the Publicity tab. This is done via settings - integrations - partner publication channels.
When you navigate to a program item for an event, you can link the Spotify artist page to it.
Here’s how:
Go to a program item or create a new one
Click on the Link Spotify Artist button
Select the correct artist from the search results
Save the page to apply the changes
Once saved, a Spotify logo will appear next to the selected artist's name. By clicking the logo, you can view the artist's profile and verify that the correct artist is linked to the program item.
If multiple artists are performing at the event, you can add more artists. Additionally, you can specify whether an artist is a headliner or a supporting act.
The linked artists are now visible in the publicity tab of the event. The Spotify artist link is now added to your Publicity tab and included in your feed.
How to publish your ticket link on Spotify artist pages
With this integration, your ticket links can now appear on Spotify artist pages in the On Tour section. This allows listeners to discover your event while browsing their favorite artists and easily purchase tickets.
Here’s how to prepare:
Ensure your location details are complete
Go to Settings > Planning > Locations and fill in the following for each venue:
Street name and number
Postal code
City
State / province / region
Country
Latitude and longitude
Check the event type
Select the event category 'Concert' or 'Festival' on the Publicity tab of an Event.
Note: Other event types, such as workshops or film screenings, will not be accepted by Spotify. If you have questions about this feel free to contact us.
Publish your event
Ensure your ticket shop is live and linked to the event. Spotify will automatically pull the ticket link and display it under the artist’s On Tour section.
Note:
The Spotify artist linked to the program item must perform live at the event. You cannot link artists to tribute or DJ events. Doing so may result in the integration being suspended.
Spotify solely decides whether to display your ticket link on the artist's page, and Stager has no influence over this.
A fee applies to tickets sold through Spotify. This is visible on your monthly receipt 💸 (3% additional fee on every ticket sold via Spotify)
