Publicity info per event

Add text, images, and video to your event.

Updated over a week ago

Events - Publicity is the central place to enter all publicity information for an event. Write promotional texts, upload images and link to videos here. You can share the content you enter here in various places and ways:

  • Ticket shop

  • Mailing

  • Website

  • External marketing platforms

  • Your personal calendar

Text

The format used for filling in the text, URLs, lists and bullet points is called Markdown. At the top right of the text box, you can click on a question mark for more information. You can find even more information about this on Whatismarkdown.com and Markdown Wikipedia.

It is possible to add HTML code in the text box.

Media

The buttons speak for themselves. Use the buttons to add images or videos to the event. There is a separate rule to upload images or videos specifically for the ticket shop, and is not relevant here. Take the size into account when uploading images; it is not wise to use files that are too heavy.

Don't use strange or uncommon characters in an image title. This can cause an error. Do not use PDF either, it is not supported.

Links

Use audio and video links to use files that are uploaded on a remote server. Using the video embed button you can enter the embed code of, for example, YouTube videos. This way it is possible to show rich media on your site.

Marketing

Give the event one or more Event labels and Customer Interests. Is an event associated with other search terms? Then enter Tags to increase findability or to link other events to this event.

Publication

Determine how you want to share the content. You do this by checking a checkbox at My channels or Partner Channels. By default you will find:

  • Ticketshop - Publish to the ticketshop. The information you enter here will appear when you click on the 'Info' button in the ticket shop. The text is also used for sending mailings. Read more about this at Send marketing mailings with upcoming events

  • Partner channels - Stager has made it possible for you to share your event info directly with external parties such as (the Dutch) Uitagenda. You can directly share your info with them. Read more about this via - Publish to your own website.

  • Publish status - Publicity information already shared externally or limited, with a scheduled date.

If you use the Awesome package, you can choose to publish event information on your website by ticking off a link to your own channel or put events in your personal calendar by checking Agenda. To use the feed you must first link Stager to your website: let your website developer do this. It is also possible to create custom publication channels, for example if you want to share your publicity information with a local entertainment guide. This way you don't have to share this with them manually. Read more about that here.

By default, the publication date is the date when the event is created. If the message should not be published until later, enter a different Publication Date and tick Website.

Under Publication, choose which channel the event should be published to.
