How can the ticket buyer buy and receive Stager tickets?

Updated today

How do I buy a ticket?

The visitor buys tickets for events through Stager's ticket shop. This process consists of four steps:

  • Selecting tickets.

  • Entering personal information.

  • Payment.

  • Downloading tickets.

1. Selecting tickets

The organizer normally communicates via their own website, newsletter, or social media, the ticket links for events. The ticket link generally looks like this:

https://[NAME ORGANIZATION].stager.co/shop/default

Enter the name of the organization yourself in the square brackets.

In the ticket shop you will see the events. The ticket buyer clicks on the desired event and selects the tickets. They are then placed in the basket and reserved for checkout. The ticket buyer clicks on 'Place order' to continue.

2. Personal Information

The email address is added in the next step. There are two possible options:

  • The email address is registered with the organization. The ticket buyer can proceed directly to checkout without logging in, or by logging in with a password.

  • The email address is not yet known. The ticket buyer can choose between creating an account or continuing as guest. They must enter at least a name and email address. As an organizer you can choose to request additional information.

3. Checkout

In this step of the process, the email address the tickets are sent to is stated at the top of the page. Here the ticket buyer checks the order overview, ticks opt-ins and chooses a payment method. The visitor is then forwarded to a bank or bank app, where the online transaction is carried out.

4. Downloading tickets

If the payment is successful, the visitor will be sent back to the Stager ticket shop by the bank. Here the visitor can directly download the tickets, share them or put the event in their own agenda app. If the ticket buyer has purchased tickets on a mobile, they will also see the option to view the tickets or download them in a wallet. At the same time, an email will be sent with the link to download the tickets.

Where can the ticket buyer find the tickets?

When a ticket buyer has paid for the tickets, the last page they see in the purchasing process is one where they directly download the tickets. In addition, an email will be sent with a download link for the tickets.

You can resend the tickets via the Stager website: https://stager.co/en/tickets-lost/

How can the ticket buyer re-download tickets?

If the ticket buyer has to download the tickets again, (because the ticket link is not in their mailbox or the PDFs have been misplaced), they can do this in the ticket shop.

Go to:

https://[organization].stager.co/shop/default/account/tickets

and log in with your username and password. Replace [organization] with the name of the organizer of the event you purchased tickets for.

You will then be taken to the My Tickets page where you can download all orders.

How can the ticket buyer (re)set their Stager password?

Has the ticket buyer not set a password, but wants to log in later to download purchased tickets or buy new tickets, and can't find the registration email? They should use the option ‘Forgot your password?’ and set a new password.

As an organization you can make it easy for your ticket buyers by putting a My Tickets button on your website. Paste this link here:

https://[organization].stager.co/shop/default/account/set-password-request

Replace "organization" with the name of your organization and direct your audience to the option to (re)set a password.

How can a ticket buyer find their ticket?

It is possible that ticket buyers have made a payment, but have not received any tickets. This happens for various reasons.

  1. The ticket mail has ended up in the SPAM box.

  2. The ticket buyer has entered an incorrect email address.

  3. The ticket buyer has taken too long to make a payment.

  4. A malfunction with the payment platform.

In some cases, you can easily resolve the issue yourself by resending the tickets through the Stager website.

When ticket buyers report payments made without tickets being issued and your order cannot be found in Tickets - Ticket Management, please contact Stager.

1. Ticket mail has ended up in the SPAM box

It can happen that a ticket buyer pays and does not return to the download screen. As a precaution, Stager always sends an email with the ticket link, but the ticket buyer may miss seeing the email in their inbox. Emails from Stager can now and then end up in the SPAM box.

To reduce the chance of your emails ending up in a SPAM box, we advice to verify your mail domain.

2. Wrong email address entered

Sometimes people enter an incorrect email address (even type the same errors when confirming their email address). In that case you will first want to change the address to the right mail address, via Marketing - Contacts on the profile of this ticket buyer. Then you can resend the email with the ticket.

It's easy to resend tickets through Stager. You can read how to do that here. Please change the wrong email address in Contacts first.

3. Exceeding the time limit

Visitors are given a time limit in which they have to fully complete the ordering process and purchase a ticket. If they exceed this limit, the reservation on these tickets expire as we cannot hold the tickets indefinitely.

If visitors are already in the payment environment of their bank or credit card, Stager cannot abort the transaction. It is therefore possible that a visitor pays, but does not receive a ticket because this has expired in our software. Stager will then automatically refund the full amount and inform the ticket buyer of this.

4. Payment platform malfunction

A malfunction may prevent communication between the bank or credit card company, the Payment Service Provider and Stager. There are a lot of automatic checks that keep track of whether orders have been completed or whether a payment is also part of an order. If payment has been made but no tickets have been issued, the payment will be automatically refunded.

If there is a technical problem that causes no tickets to be issued for a payment, the full purchase amount for all tickets will automatically be refunded. Visitors are requested to create and pay for a new order.

Download receipt for bought tickets

To use as invoice in an administration

After buying tickets it is possible to download a receipt for the transaction. This receipt can be used for administrative purposes.

Where can I find my ticket purchase confirmation?

A confirmation email is always sent to the visitor. This email has an overview with the name of the event, number of tickets and a ticket download button. This last button is not present when Delayed download is active. In that case ticket buyers receive an email 4-48 hours before the event starts.

In both cases the email has a 'Receipt' button. Click it to download a receipt.

How do I download a receipt for my Stager tickets?

After clicking the button you are redirected to the Stager ticket shop and can add extra info to the receipt. Afterwards the receipt is generated and can be downloaded right away. The receipt can not be altered, it can be found again using the same ticket download email and clicking the 'Receipt' button again. This way receipts can be downloaded.
