Through Stager, you can add text, images and video to your event. This will be automatically added to your event in your shop and your website, and sent to external publication channels that you specify. This saves you from copy-pasting event information from Stager to other channels. This article will guide you through what information you can add.
Add publicity information to your event
Through the Publicity tab of your event, you can enter all important publicity information. Access this tab via Events - Calendar - [Event name] - Publicity. Here you can write promotional texts, upload images and link to videos. You can share the content you enter here in various places, including:
Shop
Mailings
Website
External marketing platforms
Your personal calendar
Adding publicity text to your event
First, you can add text in the Text block. The format used for filling in the text, URLs, lists and bullet points is called Markdown. At the top right of the text box, you can click on a question mark for more information. Toggle a preview to remove the markdown elements with the eye icon. You can find even more information about this on Whatismarkdown.com and Markdown Wikipedia. It is also possible to add HTML code in the text box.
Add media to your event
In the Media section, you can add images or videos to the event. Take the file size of your media into account when uploading images. It is not wise to use files that are too large in size, as this will slow down your shop performance. Don't use strange or uncommon characters in an image title. This can cause an error. Do not use PDF either, it is not supported.
When adding a images - be it the ticket shop media, main image or additional images - ensure that you include alternative text, which briefly describes the media. This helps those who have trouble viewing the media to understand what the media is for. Write a clear and concise alternative text.
Your ticket shop media will be the main media that appears when someone buys a ticket through your shop. This can be an image, or you can upload a video link from a platform such as YouTube.
Add links to your event info
In the Links block, you can also add audio, video, or regular links. For example, by entering a video embed code from YouTube, you can show rich media on your site. You can add links to the artists' Spotify account, website, social media codes and more.
Add marketing information to your event
In Marketing, you can add event labels and customer interests to your event. This allows you to categorize your events, both for your own internal marketing, but also for your website or for external channels.
Add an event category to provide external channels with information to classify their content correctly on their platform.
Important: Spotify only allows for an event category of concert or festival. If you want your events to be listed on an artist's Spotify page, ensure that your event category is correctly assigned as concert or festival.
You can also enter tags to your event, which aren't visible to your ticket-buyers but is valuable meta-data to help your event discoverability. You can also use these tags to help categorize or filter events on your website.
Define where you want to publish your event
In the Publication block, you can specify how you want to share the content.
First, define if you want to show your publicity information on your shop. This will then create an 'Info' button on each event, and clicking this will load your your event information for the ticket-buyer. Publicity information is published immediately in your shop after checking this checkbox.
You can additionally publish this event information in a calendar feed. You can set this up following the instructions in this article.
You can also publish to your own channels and partner publication channels. Read more about how this works in this article. For both your own channels and external channels, you can specify when you want to publish this data, either immediately, or scheduled for a specific date and time.
